Each team in the Mongol Rally chooses their own route. We have decided to take a direct route from London to the Czech Republic and then vertically across Europe, Russia and Central Asia until we reach Mongolia. The list on the bottom left outlines the countries we will pass through, a map below shows an estimate of our route.
Recent News:
The ATC team is currently working on finding sponsors (is that you?) to fund the team's expedition to Mongolia to help herder independence, child education and disaster security. We are already on the road, but you can still donate online to help us out, or help out Mercy Corps Mongolia.

About the Rally:
The Mongol Rally began several years ago as a way to make the world less boring and to help our fellow man in the process. 500 cars depart from London, Spain, and Italy simultaneously, and race to Mongolia to donate their cars and an additional $1,700 USD to Mercy Mongolia.
There are no rules in the Mongol Rally, no set route, no assistance on the road, and no way to make the 10,000 mile journey in an ill-suited, 1 litre car without encountering problems. As the founding father of the Mongol Rally said, "If you haven't run into massive difficulties on the way, then you are doing something wrong!"
The rally is as much about charity as it is about making the journey. We'll be helping out those in need while traveling through 13 countries, 10,000 miles and several epic adventures.
About Mercy Corps - Mongolia:
Mercy Mongolia's mission is to "alleviate suffering, poverty and oppression by helping people build secure, productive and just communities." In Mongolia, the focus is on civil society, natural resource management and economic development. A donation made through First Giving (on the left side bar) will help rural Mongolians in several ways. Visit the Mercy Mongolia page to learn more, but make sure to return here to donate online.

About our Third Team Member:

We are lucky to welcome Bill on our Mongol Rally team. Bill is currently working as a mechanical engineering consultant and, as his wife Jacqui says, ‘he has a hard time relaxing,’ and has encouraged him to join our team on the rally as a substitution for relaxion. Bill had his first large travel experiences working for a paper and pulp design company that sent him all over the world. Now, he supervises the construction and building processes of mill equipment in China, Russia, Brazil, you name it! Lauren and I are also very fortunate to welcome Bill on board because his hobbies, which include working on and restoring cars, trucks and motorcycles. His skills will be a blessing on the rally if our car happens to break down. We are proud and happy to have such an interesting, brave, and friendly personality to our Abandon the Cube Mongol Rally Team.
