Get your hands dirty. Build something. Try something new. Abandoning the Cube is all about exploration, so get out there and try to do some things on your own. Nothing is more fulfilling than making something with your own two hands. Make bread. Build a dog house. Crochet something. Paint something. Not only is it fulfilling, but you’ll slowly train up a hobby into a craft and from that, into another tool to Abandoning the Cube.

We did a little DIY with furniture, check out the Facebook page for Fernweh Originals for some of our creations. But if woodworking isn’t your thing, try something else! Getting your hands dirty and finding happiness in labor is what it’s all about– and in the end you have something that you made with your own two hands. Something to be proud of.
