Caucasus

The Caucasus are beautifully situated along the Black Sea and offer beautiful geography, interesting cuisine and friendly people to meet. We enjoyed the Republic of Georgia and Azerbaijan, the only countries in the Caucasus we’ve so far had the privilege to visit.

Azerbaijan

Check out the Azerbaijan Guide as well as the Azerbaijan Photo Gallery. We entered Azerbaijan from the eastern coast after a somewhat harrowing ferry ride across the Caspian Sea, and landed in Baku. From Baku we traveled across the country to Georgia.

Republic of Georgia

Check out the Republic of Georgia Guide as well as the Republic of Georgia Photo Gallery. We entered Georgia from the Eastern Azeri border and then traveled to the capital of Tbilisi and then north along the mountains for a while before hitting Gori, and then West to the coastal town of Batumi, all by land.
